I work for the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy where I manage programs and help develop and promote awareness of Australian communication and media policy and regulatory settings. My present focus is on Indigenous Broadcasting, with prior assignments in digital Security Strategy Policy, Broadcasting Content Policy, Digital Economy Policy and Online Content and Copyright.

I have, for the past decade, been continuously engaged in training journalism and communications students for Canberra and Griffith Universities and teaching media content, production and presentation skills for the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. As the communications manager and webmaster for interNATIONAL PARKtours I once walked for a living

As a content producer, presenter and manager at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation I worked, at various times, as; Development Coordinator for ABC Radio, Manager ABC Coast FM, Manager 612 ABC Brisbane, Manager 105.7 ABC Darwin, Manager 774 ABC Melbourne, Manager Queensland, Manager Northern Territory and General Manager TripleJ. I cut my teeth in media by helping kick start the community sector at 2ARM and 4ZZZ, winning national awards for Documentary, News and Music features.

The Security Strategy Policy Section provides policy advice on cybersecurity issues for small business and home-users, and manages Australia's engagement on communications and cybersecurity issues in the Asia-Pacific region.
